The Government of Nepal and the World Bank signed an agreement on Friday for Additional Financing (AF) grants to the ongoing Nepal School Sector Reform Program (SSRP) in the amount of $59.3 million from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and $4 million from the Results in Education for All Children (REACH).

Predictions are that this next stage in societal development will see artificial intelligence, or robots, take the place of humans at work.

Male Youth Who Don’t Work or Study Increase in Latin America

One in Five Youth are Ninis and most of them still women

Despite Latin America’s strong performance in the 2000s—with vibrant economic growth and a significant reduction in poverty and inequality—the number of youth who don’t work or study actually grew due to an increase in male “ninis.” The ninis – a term from the Spanish phrase “ni estudia ni trabaja” - Tuesday total more than 20 million, from ages 15 to 24, with two thirds of them being women, according to a new study by the World Bank.
