G7 Expresses Concerns over Countries' Provision of Aid to Russia

On the occasion of the **two-year anniversary** of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the **G7** leaders and **European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen** met with Ukrainian President **Volodymyr Zelenskyy** on the 24th. Following the meeting, they issued a joint statement expressing concern about **Chinese companies** within China **shipping dual-use materials and weapon components to Russia**, as well as engaging in military-industrial production equipment.

The G7 statement reaffirms their commitment to rigorously enforce sanctions against Russia and take necessary new measures. In close cooperation with third countries, the G7 will continue to counter any attempts to evade sanctions and export control measures.

The statement further emphasizes that the G7 will continue to take action against third countries providing material support to Russia's aggressive war. They call on financial institutions not to become accomplices in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Additionally, the G7 strongly condemns North Korea for exporting ballistic missiles to Russia and urges Iran to cease assisting Russian forces within Ukrainian territory.

In addition to continuing efforts to target Russia's revenue sources supporting the war, the G7 reiterates their commitment to freeze Russian sovereign assets within their respective legal systems until Russia compensates for the damage caused to Ukraine.

The G7 summit is scheduled to take place from **June 13 to 15** in **Apulia, Italy**. Member countries will continue to explore ways to utilize Russia's frozen sovereign assets to support Ukraine, and progress will be reported before the leader's summit in June .
