Malta–the 102nd Nation That FOWPAL Has Visited for Cultural Exchange of Peace | WPN World People News

Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, president of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), led the FOWPAL delegation to visit Malta’s Ministry for Justice on Nov. 8, where they were received by Claudio Camilleri, the Head of Secretariat.

Situated at the center of the Mediterranean Sea, the Republic of Malta holds a significant geographic position bridging Europe and Africa, often referred to as the "Heart of Europe."

Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze presented a Compass Clock of Conscience to Justice Minister Jonathan Attard, symbolizing the guidance toward acting with conscience and doing good deeds. Claudio Camilleri, the Head of Secretariat, accepted the gift on behalf of Minister Attard.

Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, president of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), led the FOWPAL delegation to Malta to promote a culture of peace with love and conscience from November 7 to 9, and visited Malta’s Ministry for Justice on November 8, where he was received by the Head of Secretariat, Claudio Camilleri. Dr. Hong shared FOWPAL's philosophy and achievements in promoting love of peace on six continents.

Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze shared with Claudio Camilleri, the Head of Secretariat, the spirit of a culture of love and peace passed on from generation to generation.

“We're here welcoming the FOWPAL, which is a very, very beautiful organization, which encourages peace, love and hope in the world," said Claudio Camilleri, adding, "We are living in a time of conflict, and spreading hope and love is the most important thing during the current times."

The FOWPAL delegation exchanged experiences with the staff at Malta’s Ministry for Justice in promoting love and peace.

Immediately after attending the 24th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World in India, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze led the FOWPAL delegation to fly to Malta to bring the blessings of love and peace.

Claudio Camilleri, the Head of Secretariat, upon learning the contents of the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope, expressed his support and immediately signed it.

Malta is the 102nd country that FOWPAL has visited. On November 8, Dr. Hong visited Malta’s Ministry for Justice. Although Minister of Justice Jonathan was unable to meet with him on that day due to an important engagement, he still assigned Claudio Camilleri, the Head of Secretariat, to receive him in person.

Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze and the FOWPAL delegation were presented with a limited edition replica of the painting by Maltese artist Rupert Celai, titled "Justice and Prudence" by Malta’s Ministry for Justice.

Claudio Camilleri thanked FOWPAL very much for the visit and expressed how saddened he was by the unfortunate events taking place around the world, all the conflicts around the world, which are the cause of the consequent deaths or suffering of so many innocent people.

Dr. Hong shared that for more than 20 years, FOWPAL has been promoting a culture of conscience, love and peace around the world through various means, including conducting cultural exchanges, holding the World Leader Summits of Love and Peace, hosting bell ringing ceremonies, and organizing endorsement campaigns for declarations on conscience, peace, and human rights.

To date, 529 important leaders from 138 nations have rung the Bell of World Peace and Love and made wishes for peace, including 60 heads of state and government, as well as nine Nobel Peace Prize winners.

The FOWPAL delegation shared Dr. Hong's important role in making the United Nations’ designation of April 5 as the International Day of Conscience possible through a video presentation.

Beginning in 2018, Dr. Hong worked with the UN ambassadors of Bahrain, Kiribati, Equatorial Guinea, and many other countries in the United Nations to convene more than 10 meetings to jointly develop a draft resolution titled "Promoting the Culture of Peace with Love and Conscience." In just one and a half years, Dr. Hong led FOWPAL delegates to 38 countries to promote a culture of peace with love and conscience, including the five Nordic countries, which have been acclaimed as happy countries, the Balkan Peninsula, which has suffered much from the pains of war throughout its history, and the Pacific Islands, which bear the brunt of climate change.

"Well done!" praised Claudio Camilleri, commending FOWPAL for its significant achievements. He stated that FOWPAL's actions effectively raise awareness of the importance of peace, and he expressed hope and encouragement for FOWPAL to continue its journey.

Dr. Hong shared that September 23rd was declared as "World Day of the Power of Hope," calling on the world to act together with conscience and the power of hope for the safety and sustainability of oneself, others, and the world, so that positive energy can lead the earth towards sustainability. Claudio Camilleri, the Head of Secretariat, after reading the Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope, expressed his support and immediately and enthusiastically signed the Declaration.

Dr. Hong presented Minister Jonathan Attard with special gifts of great significance, including a book titled “The History of International Day of Conscience,” which documents important events leading to the UN’s adoption of the International Day of Conscience; the International Day of Conscience scarf, a symbol of friendship and blessing; and the limited edition FOWPAL stamps, a symbol of the culture of love and peace that has been passed down from generation to generation. Additionally, keychains with the "Smile of Conscience" were given to inspire everyone to use a smile to defuse conflicts in important moments, creating peace in one’s family and beyond. They serve as a token to motivate the minister and his staff to promote global harmony and development.

With its ancient civilization, Malta attaches great importance to the preservation and development of culture and art. On behalf of the Minister, Claudio Camilleri presented Dr. Hong and the delegation with a glass artwork representing Maltese culture, a book on preservation techniques for monumental paintings, and a limited edition replica of the painting "Justice and Prudence."

The painting Justice and Prudence, by Maltese artist Rupert Celai, is inspired by the 18th-century marble front door of the Castellania Palace, a former courthouse and prison in the capital city of Valletta, and depicts Lady Justice, representing justice, and Lady Prudentia, representing the virtue of prudence, holding a mirror and a serpent. The painting was presented to the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its establishment, with the profound aim of reminding the world of the importance of making wise and responsible decisions with justice, introspection and prudence. This is in line with the spirit of the culture of conscience that FOWPAL has been promoting around the world, inspiring virtues and actions of goodness in the world.
