OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Kurz and Secretary General Zannier condemn murderous attack in a nightclub in Istanbul
OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Sebastian Kurz and Secretary General Lamberto Zannier on 1 January strongly condemned the horrible attack on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul on New Year’s Eve.
“Once more, Turkey has been shaken by the scourge of terrorist violence. I condemn in the strongest terms this brutal and perfidious attack against innocent people celebrating the beginning of the New Year. Together, we stand with our Turkish friends in these hours of mourning”, Kurz said.
"My solidarity to Turkey in the wake of the latest terror attack. This is yet another attempt to instill fear in our societies. Our response will be to intensify our joint efforts and build a strong common front against terrorism,” Zannier said.
Kurz and Zannier extended their condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the families and friends of the numerous victims and wished swift recovery to the dozens of casualties.
