OSCE Chairmanship expresses concern about possible escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh
Regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the spokesperson of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, expressed concern about the situation at the Line of Contact on May 6.
He said: “The OSCE Chairmanship urgently calls on the sides to refrain from taking any steps that might fuel a new escalation. The Chairmanship supports the efforts by the OSCE Minsk Group, and the three Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group in particular, to press ahead with their attempts to resolve the conflict through de-escalation, stabilization of the ceasefire, further stabilizing measures and the resumption of negotiations.”
The spokesperson stressed that the OSCE Chairmanship is in very close contact with the governments in Baku and Yerevan and with the Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group.
