Nickelodeon International’s Together For Good and UNICEF Partner To Help Every Child Reach Their Full Potential
On-going partnership kicks off with new PSA featuring UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Katy Perry
Nickelodeon International’s Together for Good and UNICEF have joined forces to educate and inspire kids around the world to tackle discrimination and inequality in their homes, schools and communities. With the theme of social inclusion at its core, the goal of the partnership is to give kids the knowledge and resources to support UNICEF on their quest to ensure every child can reach their full potential.

The partnership officially kicks off with a new public service announcement (PSA) featuring UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Katy Perry, which will premiere on Nickelodeon channels internationally during the biggest night in kids’ television - Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards.
“We’re excited to partner with UNICEF to help support their mission to ensure every child around the globe has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Pierluigi Gazzolo, President, Viacom International Media Networks Americas and EVP, Nickelodeon International. “At Nickelodeon, we put kids first in everything we do, and we’re committed to encouraging and empowering children everywhere to make a positive impact on the world around them.”
“Every child deserves a fair chance in life. This new partnership provides a great opportunity to connect UNICEF’s work on child participation and parenting education with a global media platform aimed at young people. By amplifying children’s voices on the world stage we can encourage social inclusion and equity, leading to real change for children,” said UNICEF’s Director of Programmes Ted Chaiban.
The on-going partnership will include a two-hour programming block co-produced by UNICEF and Nickelodeon, which will be broadcast to millions of children via Nickelodeon channels in more than 180 countries and territories. The special block will feature episodes from some of Nickelodeon’s most popular series, focusing on challenges kids face and the actions they can take to create positive change in their own communities.
UNICEF and Nickelodeon will continue to work on additional content co-productions and opportunities to engage kids in fun activities that will help raise awareness, stimulate changes in attitudes and motivate positive action in their daily lives.
