Russian import ban on agricultural products
Information about agricultural products affected by the Russian import ban.
The Russian Government imposed an unjustified ban on 7 August on the import of certain agricultural commodities from the EU.
We are still considering the impacts of the ban. While we do not expect it to have a significant overall effect on our agricultural industry, we do recognise it will have an impact on some businesses and in particular the pelagic (mackerel) sector of the Scottish fishing industry. This is why we are working closely with the Scottish government and European Commission to monitor the situation and understand the impact on business.
The list of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs originating from the United States, countries of the European Union, Canada, Australia and the Kingdom of Norway, and that are banned for imports to the Russian Federation for a period of one year, is as follows:
