A 10-camel bounty offer by Somali militant group for Obama

Somali militant group Al Shabaab has offered 10 camels for the information leading to the capture of President Barack Obama and 10 chickens for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, mocking at US' bounty on the commanders of the Al Qaeda affiliated terrorist outfit.

Fuad Muhammad Khalaf of the Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement posted an audio statement on jihadist websites countering Obama's gesture with a camel offer for US officials.

"I can assure you that these kind of things (US bounties) will never dissuade us from continuing the holy war against them," Khalaf said, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors militant organisations.

"Whoever reveals the hideout of the idiot Obama will be rewarded with 10 camels, and whoever reveals the hideout of the old woman Hillary Clinton will be rewarded 10 chickens and 10 roosters," he said.

The US last week offered millions of dollars for anyone willing to give information leading to the capture of the world's most wanted terrorists of the Somali militant group Al Shabaab which has declared its allegiance to global terror network Al Qaeda.

News network CNN said the audio was recorded by Khalaf during a speech to his followers in the southern port city of Merca.

The US State Department's Rewards for Justice programme had offered $7 million for information on the location of Ahmed Abdi Aw-Mohamed, the founder of the Islamist group in Somalia.

The State Department called Al Shabaab "a threat to the stability of East Africa and to the national security interests of the United States".
