At least 6 seriously injured in grenade attacks in northern Kenya
At least six people were seriously injured in two separate grenade attacks in northern Kenya on Saturday night, police said.
In the first attack at the world's largest refugee camp in Dadaab, an unknown person hurled a hand grenade on a group of five Kenyans of Somali origin doing construction work at a Horset primary school in Info camp. All the five people sustained injuries from the shrapnel.
In the second incident which took place at 1645 GMT an unknown person also threw a hand grenade on people at a popular eatery joint in Wajir town, injuring one person.
Regional police commander Leo Nyongesa confirmed both incidents.
