U.S. lays stress on close defence ties with China

The Pentagon has laid stress on constructive defence ties with China that will be beneficial to both countries.
United States defence official, requesting anonymity, told Xinhua, "Building a healthy, stable, reliable and continuous military to military relationship is in the interest of both countries, the region and the entire international community." He also hailed the exchange visits of dignitaries of both sides as a positive step.
U.S. and China held the seventh defence ministry working level meeting at Beijing on April 11. They have also agreed to maintain dialogue process in areas of defence and security to augment their military ties.
