Bomber blows apart police station in Iraq
A car bomb attack in the central Iraqi city of Samarra has killed a number of Iraqi policemen.
Reports say at least 10 policemen were killed and 16 others wounded when a bomber smashed an explosives-packed vehicle into a city police headquarters.
Samarra is located in Salaheddin province, about 100 kilometers north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Last week, another bomber exploded a device in a bus station in Samarra.
48 people were killed in that incident.
The bomb blast targeted pilgrims who had travelled by bus to observe a Shiite ceremony.
