Brad Pitt to star in World War Z

Brad Pitt has been roped in to star in a new film called 'World War Z', an adaptation of a book of the same name by Max Brooks.
It tells the tale of a man researching a zombie pandemic that took place in the past, leading to much of the world's population being killed.
In 2007, Brad Pitt's production company Plan B secured rights to the book after a bidding war with Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way, reports contactmusic.com.
'I can't believe how cool Paramount has been to me and these projects and how cool Plan B has been,' said Brooks.
The film is slated for release in 2012.
