From whence do we come? And where shall we go? These are the profound questions that unite humanity. On October 6th and 7th, at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, a majestic masterpiece of Tai Ji Men, “Back to the Origin,” will make its debut, akin to an Eastern rendition of the “Siddhartha.” The play is a wake-up call, a fable that tells the story of human origins and destiny. It sheds light on how, in the vast cosmic currents, one can transcend the ego, confront the battles of good and evil, and make choices guided by conscience. Each captivating scene guides the audience through the dimensions of time and space, awakening the deep-seated conscience within, rediscovering the true self. Not only does it infuse Silicon Valley with the essence of the soul, but it also offers a pathway of revelation to many more.

Gathering the wisdom of a 6,000-year-old culture, “Back to the Origin” embodies profound truths.

This epic narrative transcends the eons, spanning from primordial chaos to modern times, seamlessly weaving together innovative martial arts, contemporary song and dance, and traditional opera. It unravels the story from the birth of the cosmos, the initial state of the universe, the transformation through the Tai Ji, and the origins of martial arts, connecting humanity intimately with nature's rhythms.

One of the contributors to the script points out that “Back to the Origin” serves as a reflective mirror for today's world, where desires, temptations, power, fame, and conflicts seem to proliferate. When the human heart succumbs to temptation, how can one break free from bewilderment and attain spiritual freedom? This performance condenses the wisdom and truth of 6,000 years of Tai Ji culture, allowing the audience to grasp their own path in life.

The cast of over 500, hailing from various states across the United States and around the world, including France, the Netherlands, Canada, Taiwan, and different states within the U.S., ranges in age from 8 to 72 years old, all disciples of Tai Ji Men. Under the guidance of Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, the Grand Master of Tai Ji Men, they have been involved in every aspect, from scriptwriting to music composition, costume design, set construction, and prop creation, presenting classical culture through innovative means. The musical score that permeates the entire performance is truly awe-inspiring. Composed and orchestrated by Tai Ji Men Grandmaster and disciples, it comprises over twenty pieces.

The melodic chants brim with ancient wisdom. Rooted in years of practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong, the disciples deliver resonant voices from their “dantian”, sending reverberations deep into the souls of the audience.

“Children from Heaven” inspires acts of kindness, balancing spirituality with technology.

The choice of the San Francisco Bay Area as the first stop of the “Back to Origin” U.S. tour holds profound significance in an era marked by the explosive growth of AI technology. Many in the tech industry have come to realize that technology is a double-edged sword, and its impact hinges on the intentions of the human heart. “Back to the Origin” begins with its prelude film, 'Children from Heaven,' where pure voices touch the soul right from the start. It guides individuals to reflect upon themselves, exploring how, in the course of human progress and the world's future, they can cultivate acts of kindness, balancing the soul with technology, harnessing the power of humanity-centered and tech-for-good principles.

The organizer of the event, Tai Ji Men emphasizes that a pure conscience serves as a stabilizing force for the world, capable of harmonizing technological advancement with inner peace. When everyone follows their conscience and acts kindly, they can unleash a stabilizing force at critical moments, promoting peace.

The Origin and Essence of Martial Arts: Reviving the Lost Ancient Arts

Condensing the essence of more than 6,000 years of Tai Ji Men culture, the performance features a segment on the origins of martial arts. It not only showcases the preservation and evolution of ancient martial arts but also revives nearly forgotten ancient techniques. This fusion with the new generation breathes new life into the world of martial arts.

A seasoned cinematographer renowned for capturing iconic moments in cinema commented that the performance includes numerous displays of martial arts and qigong. Disciples of all ages, from children to teenagers to seniors, exhibit impressive prowess, a rarity on the stage. It's evident that these non-professional actors and dancers possess a profound foundation in qigong and martial arts, something often lacking in typical actors.

Tai Ji Men is acclaimed as an international ambassador for peace and goodwill. Their traveling delegation has visited 101 countries across six continents and more than 300 cities, participating in over 3,000 cultural exhibitions. The debut of “Back to the Origin” in the San Francisco Bay Area coincides with the grand opening of Tai Ji Men's new academies in Santa Clara and Pasadena. During the event, a solemn ceremony for the ringing of the “Bell of World Peace and Love” was held, offering blessings to the world, wishing sustainable world peace, health, and happiness for all.
