Artists Share Messages of Love and Peace Amid the COVID-19 Crisis | WPN World People News

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to many non-essential business activities. Creatives have been adversely affected, as art fairs, shows, and concerts have been cancelled worldwide. In the face of the coronavirus outbreak, some artists have not only remained productive, but also taken on a new role as promoters of peace on social media as the global community observed the FIRST International Day of Conscience online via Facebook LIVE on April 5, 2020.

Siba Beavogui, the director of Farafina Group from the Republic of Guinea, made a striking poster which reads, “Peace and love, that’s happiness. On International Day of Conscience, let’s celebrate life together so we can survive as humanity.” Lena Beyer sent a beautiful watercolor drawing from Germany and wrote that “conscience is the key to a life in love and peace.” Seattle-based artist Christopher Olson shared a whimsical portrait with a royal crow holding a banner which reads, “Be Kind to ALL those You Meet.” Paul Sladkus from Good News Planet Production put together a special presentation on Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/403804505?fbclid=IwAR2YZpXblasmuRxQ5Qz7Rt70jVvl61PvpnZ...) combining performance clips and video reflections on conscience by performing artists from New York, including Giorgia Fumanti, Michaela and Gabriella (known as the Indiggo Twins), Anny Peng, and Katya Gruineva.
