Justice Carmona’s meeting with President Hong in Austria

The fifth/former President of Trinidad and Tobago and former Judge of the International Criminal Court, Justice Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona is a remarkable political leader striving for bettering living conditions through out the world. After his term of president, Anthony Carmona travels around the world to introduce his idea of building a better world.

Justice Carmona is a patron of Trinidad local NGO Carbon Zero Initiative of Trinidad and Tobago (CZITT), which is dedicated to the singular purpose of Trinidad and Tobago becoming a Carbon Neutral country. On April 15, 2019, a feature report about Justice Carmona’s attending a contest held by CZITT and delivering his encouragement to the winners was published by the Trinidad Express, a local newspaper after his traveling around Brazil, India, South Korea and Austria.

Next to the report is the photo of Justice Carmona and Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, President of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL). It shows Justice Carmona and Dr. Hong were happily shaking hands and sharing ideas at the occasion of the first International Day of Conscience launched on April 5, 2019 at the United Nations in Vienna. The event was co-organized by the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) and the Permanent Mission of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Vienna.

Justice Carmona was invited to Austria to attend the program to conveying a speech because of’ his remarkable achievements. He conveyed a speech to support the theme of the first International Day of Conscience to awaken people’s conscience. He indicated that “the International Day of Conscience …… is fitting …… to UN’s Charter that …… aimed at: maintaining worldwide peace and security; developing relations among nations; and, fostering cooperation between nations in order to solve economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian international problems.” Therefore,”to establish an International Day of Conscience is very timely at this juncture in world history.”

After Justice Carmona’s speech, he jointly with Dr. Hong and Ambassador Bucheeri, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, launched the International Day of Conscience and endorsed the Declaration of International Day of Conscience. To date, there are over 13500 people from 130 countries endorsed the Declaration of International Day of Conscience.

In recognizing the dedication and contributions to peace of Justice Carmona, Dr. Hong presented the FOWPAL World Peace Culture Award to him, during the global launch of the International Day of Conscience at the United Nations Office on Friday, April 5, 2019, in Vienna, Austria.
