Mobile Learning Week 2017 focuses on the potential of mobile technologies to serve educational needs in crisis situations
The theme of this year’s flagship UNESCO event about the intersection of technology and education will be ‘Education in Emergencies and Crises’. From 20 to 24 March, Mobile Learning Week will bring together experts, practitioners, ministers of education and ministers of ICT to examine ways to maximize the use of cheap and widely available mobile technologies for the education of refugees and other displaced persons.

US$150 Million to Enhance Social Programs and Support Small Enterprises in Morocco
The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved 10 a US$150 million financing on March in support of the Moroccan government’s goal of modernizing its national identification system and provide financing to promote innovative startups and job creation. With an aim of enhancing social and economic inclusion, the two operations will enable better identification of individuals for better targeting of social programs and lifting barriers to accessing finance for startups and small enterprises.
