Musk predicts that by 2040, 10 billion humanoid robots will outnumber humans
Tesla's CEO Elon Musk recently stated that by 2040, at least 10 billion humanoid robots will be produced, potentially outnumbering the human population by then!
According to foreign media reports, Musk made this prediction in a video call at the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. He forecasted that by 2040, 10 billion humanoid robots would be utilized worldwide, capable of performing a vast range of tasks. Musk also mentioned that these humanoid robots are expected to be priced around $20,000 to $25,000 USD (approximately 600,000 to 800,000 TWD), similar to the estimated price of Tesla’s robot, “Optimus.”
Musk further suggested that by 2040, the number of humanoid robots may surpass the human population.
