Europe's newly developed "Ariane 6" rocket was successfully launched for the first time on the 9th local time (10th Taipei time)! The 56-meter-tall rocket had some minor flaws after launch but still completed its mission, marking Europe's ability to independently reach space again.

According to foreign media reports, the "Ariane 6" carried 17 payloads this time, including 11 university microsatellites, a recovery capsule, and several small scientific experiments. The rocket lifted off from Kourou in French Guiana and successfully entered orbit after about an hour of flight, releasing the first batch of satellites. However, when the second stage rocket separated from the satellites, the auxiliary propulsion system ignited but prematurely shut down, causing the rocket to deviate from its intended orbit, and the last batch of payloads could not be released successfully.

The "Ariane 6" is currently Europe's most powerful rocket. After experiencing numerous delays due to various incidents, it finally lifted off from French Guiana on the 9th, marking a new opportunity for European rockets after a year-long launch hiatus.

It is reported that the "Ariane 6" was developed by the Ariane Group, jointly owned by Airbus and Safran, with approximately 4 billion euros invested by 13 member countries of the European Space Agency (ESA). Originally scheduled for launch in 2020, the project was delayed due to political, financial, and other factors.
