Elon Musk's startup company, Neuralink, has recently announced the successful execution of the first human brain chip implantation surgery, marking a significant breakthrough in the field of brain-machine interface technology. According to Musk's social media platform X, the surgery was completed on the 28th, with the patient being a paralyzed individual who is currently showing promising signs of recovery.

The core technology of Neuralink is a chip called Link, which is of a small enough size to be implanted into the human brain through invasive surgery. Neuralink aims to establish a direct communication channel between the brain and computers to enhance human cognition and processing capabilities, as well as to treat neurological disorders.

Preliminary results indicate that the implanted chip can successfully detect neuronal pulses, showcasing potential applications. The first patient has successfully controlled a computer mouse and keyboard through thoughts, suggesting future possibilities to assist patients with vision or mobility impairments in regaining functionality.
