Dr. Edward A. Dreyfus, a clinical psychologist who practices in Santa Monica has written his fifth book, LIVING LIFE FROM THE INSIDE OUT: WHO YOU ARE MATTERS. Profits from this book as well as his other four books, will be donated to : Changing Lives Through Jobs and Make A Wish Foundation. All of the books are available on Amazon.com in both paperback and Kindle versions. Dr. Dreyfus has been volunteering weekly at Chrysalis for the past five years where he teaches two classes to a disadvantaged population.

LIVING LIFE FROM THE INSIDE OUT: WHO YOU ARE MATTERS develops a paradigm that reverses the commonly held idea of defining oneself by what one does for a living, titles, and possessions. For many people, no matter how much they have, it is never enough. And when they lose their jobs, wealth, titles, etc., they often feel even more empty. This is living life from the outside in. This book turns the paradigm upside down suggesting that true happiness can be found by living life from the inside out.

The book is based on both empirical research and 45 years of Chrysalis-hand experience working with individuals, couples, and groups in both Dr. Dreyfus’ psychological and life coaching practice. It includes case studies, vignettes, and personal experiences with real people with whom the reader can identify. The book is written for people of all ages, men and women, straight or gay. There is something in it for everyone. Anyone who has experienced a personal tragedy, loss of a job, divorce; anyone seeking greater fulfillment and happiness will profit from this read.

The profits from his other four books, http://www.dreyfusbooks.net [SOMEONE RIGHT FOR YOU: 21ST CENTURY STRATEGIES FOR FINDING YOUR PERFECT SOMEONE, KEEPING YOUR SANITY (IN AN INSANE WORLD), ADOLESCENCE: THEORY AND EXPERIENCE, YOUTH: SEARCH FOR MEANING, will also be donated to Chrysalis: Changing Lives Through Jobs and Make A Wish Foundation. Mark Loranger, CEO of Chrysalis, says “As a volunteer at Chrysalis for the past five years, Dr. Dreyfus has clearly demonstrated his commitment to helping our clients find and retain employment. We are incredibly touched that he is donating the profits from his book sales to our organization.”

SOMEONE RIGHT FOR YOU presents a unique strategy for developing a plan for finding a mate, whether a roommate, playmate, or life mate. It debunks myths about finding a soul mate while maintaining the romance as it guides the reader through a series of exercises for increasing the probability of finding an appropriate mate. Rather than throwing romance up to chance, it empowers the reader to take charge of his or her romantic life.

KEEPING YOUR SANITY is a series of psychologically based essays that discusses some of the common issues with which people struggle in coping with the problems inherent in living in a complex, fast paced world. The essays offer practical, day to day counsel on developing a more fulfilling, stress free life.

YOUTH: SEARCH FOR MEANING explores the world of college students as they struggle with an ever-changing world. Traditional models are not working for them. Meaning can no longer be found through their careers. This book offers a different paradigm for youth, their parents, and educators.

ADOLESCENCE: THEORY AND EXPERIENCE was written while the author was the Associate Director of the Student Counseling Center at UCLA. It was a unique collaboration with the students who co-authored the book as they supplemented the theories on adolescence with their actual experience being adolescents.
