Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team Arrest
WA Police and Australian Federal Police (AFP) investigators have charged a 41 year old man as part of a Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET) investigation into electronic devices seized during the recent execution of search warrants.
Search warrants had been executed at the accused person’s personal residence, and at a business premises where he works with children.
It will be alleged the man had possession of a number of images classified as child exploitation material.
The man was arrested last night, Thursday 9 June 2016. He has been charged with Possess Child Exploitation Material. The accused has been refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Friday 10 June 2016.
JACET is a taskforce bringing together the AFP and WA Police to combat online child exploitation, as part of a collaborative and coordinated national platform for policing agencies to address the abhorrent activity associated with child exploitation.
