Andrea Clare Bowman, Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to Taiwan rang the Bell of World Peace and Love.
Recently, natural and man-made disasters have occurred frequently, and various crises are imminent. Tai Ji Men hosted an event on October 16, 2022 to consolidate global citizens’ well wishes for the world. At 10:00 a.m. kind wishes from global citizens were shared online.
In the afternoon, a ceremony titled “Global Prayers for Love and Peace—Conscience Illuminating the World” was held in the National Taiwan University Sports Center in Taipei, Taiwan and the United States.
An ancient prayer ritual was conducted in the venue in Taipei, with people in 108 nations participating in the 60-second meditation. The good intentions radiated from people in different time zones, spreading positivity over the world in waves, and the ceremony was broadcast online for a whole day for people in all time zones to enjoy.
The organizers of the ceremony were Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy, Tai Ji Men Culture and Education Foundation, the ECOSOC-accredited NGO Association of World Citizens, Federation of World Peace and Love, and Ho Mei Charity Foundation, with over 500 organizations worldwide participating as joint promoters.
A ceremony of ringing the “Bell of World Peace and Love” was held at the event, and the Bell was rung nine times by Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, leader of Tai Ji Men. His first wish was for people to follow their conscience and do good deeds. The second wish was for people to help others with true love. The third wish was for all living things to enjoy peace.
Andrea Clare Bowman, Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to Taiwan, rang the Bell and wished for political leaders to put the needs of the country and its people first and to embark on the road to peace.
On that day, representatives of all major religions were invited to join the event. Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, representatives from the religious and political sectors, the judiciary, the media, the education sector and other sectors recited a prayer: “There is positive energy in the universe. True love never ends. . . . Let us collectively awaken the conscience in everyone and board the ark that is headed for the light. . . . We sincerely pray and beseech Heaven to have mercy on us.” The organizers hoped to gather people’s kindness, allowing love and peace to spread worldwide and bless the earth with harmony, prosperity, and peace.
Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, leader of Tai Ji Men, proclaimed October 16 as "World Prayer Day" to commemorate the prayer ceremony for the betterment of the world. The event lasted for four hours, with representatives from all walks of life praying by spreading fans, beating drums, lighting lanterns, and sharing words of blessing. The peaceful atmosphere touched the guests’ hearts, and they shared their well wishes. It was hoped that the power of goodness would ripple across the planet.
