OECD annual inflation nudges to 2.3% in March 2018

Annual inflation in the OECD area picked up to 2.3% in March 2018, compared with 2.2% in February. Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate also increased, to 2.0% in March 2018, compared with 1.9% in February.
Energy prices grew at a slightly slower pace (5.3% in the year to March, compared with 5.6% in the year to February), while food price inflation was stable (at 1.7%) in March.
