OECD annual inflation nudges up to 2.4% in April 2017
Annual inflation in the OECD area picked up to 2.4% in April 2017, compared with 2.3% in March 2017. Food price inflation picked up to 1.1% in the year to April, compared with 0.9% in the year to March while energy prices grew at a slower pace (8.2%) than in the year to March 2017 (9.1%). Excluding food and energy, inflation in the OECD area increased by 1.9%, compared with 1.8% in March.
