OECD annual inflation up to 1.2% in January 2016

Annual inflation in the OECD area rose to 1.2% in January 2016, compared with 0.9% in December 2015. This increase mainly reflected a slower decline in energy prices (-5.4% in January, compared with -8.6% in December), while food price inflation decreased to 0.7% (compared with 0.8%). Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate remained stable at 1.9% in January.
