OECD annual inflation eases slightly to 1.8% in August 2014
Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 1.8% in the year to August 2014, compared with 1.9% in the year to July 2014. Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate was stable in August, at 1.9% for the fourth consecutive month.

Energy price inflation slowed to 0.7% in the year to August compared with 2.3% in the year to July while food price inflation picked up slightly to 2.2% in the year to August, compared with 2.1% in the year to July.
