Magnitude 6.4 quake hits Argentina, no casualties
An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale jolted Santiago del Estero province in northern Argentina early Monday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said. No casualties was reported.
The temblor occurred at 2.07 a.m. local time (05.07 GMT). It had its epicentre, with a depth of 589.30 km, initially determined to be at 28.0597 degrees south latitude and 63.1087 degrees west longitude, and about 120 km east-southeast of Santiago del Estero city, the provincial capital, Xinhua reported.
