Over 30 injured in Thai chemical explosion

At least 37 people were injured in an explosion caused by a mixture of chemicals used for cleaning a swimming pool at a hotel in Thailand, local media reported.
The incident took place in the southern resort town of Phuket, Xinhua reported citing the Phuket Gazette.
The injured at the Phuket Orchid Resort include 26 tourists and 11 workers.
Resort staff said a cloud of gas was formed by a mixture of chlorine and other cleaning chemicals in a tank beside the swimming pool.
The injured were taken to hospital for treatment and most of them were released later.
