Heavy rains in Belgium cause deaths
Heavy rains which poured into Belgium at the weekend have caused heavy flooding and mudslides, leaving people dead.
At least three people died and many others had to be evacuated when water swept through Belgian streets.
When a river broke its banks in the Solre-Saint-Gery village close to the French border an elderly woman was trapped in her car. She died at the scene.
A second person in the same village was swept away by the flood.
A body was recovered on Sunday in Lessines, where another river had burst its banks.
Water levels rose throughout the weekend causing people to be evacuated from their homes, especially in the central and northern areas of the country.
Around the capital Brussels, canals burst their banks and 230 houses were evacuated at Leeuw-Saint-Pierre.
Factories and shops were flooded and trains were halted in some parts of the country.
