Cell Phone Ban in NZ Schools Within 100 Days

Christopher Luxon has announced that he will ban cell phones in schools during his first 100 days in office. The move will discourage disruptive behavior and help students focus.
Researchers at New Zealand charity Education Hub 2022 warned of a 'literacy crisis' in New Zealand, finding that more than one-third of 15-year-olds could barely read or write, worrying that students' reading and writing levels had fallen to crisis levels and emphasizing that 'something must be done to address New Zealand's painfully low literacy rate'.
