European educators elect new leadership
Gathered for the second day of their their quadrennial conference in Belgrade, Serbia, the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE), Education International’s European Region, has elected a new leadership team to head the organization for the next four years.
The ETUCE President and six Vice-presidents, as well as the ETUCE Committee, will oversee the ETUCE from 2016 to 2020. Together with a new European Director, the elected governing bodies will bear great responsibility for the new course of education trade unionism in Europe, in line with Education International (EI) priorities and policies, adopted by the EI Congress 2015, in Ottawa, Canada.
