Cadillac Escalade named as most stolen car in US

The Cadillac Escalade SUV, has been noted by insurance experts in the US as the car most likely to be stolen.
Insurance industry group, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, has said the Escalade has been ranked as the most-popular car with thieves who like power and chrome.
A theft claim is filed for one out of every 100 insured Escalades, which are worth an average of $62,495.
Even though Escalades are equipped with antitheft ignition immobilizers, most car thieves simply take them away on flatbed trucks.
The institute has also named the F-250 crew cab pickup, Infiniti G37 two-door car, Dodge Charger and Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in the list of the top five vehicles most likely to be the subject of theft.
