U.S. New Mexico Most Wanted Sex Offender Arrested in Denver

Raymond Vigil was arrested in Denver Colorado by the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Location Apprehension Group Task Force. Investigators believe Vigil had been living in the Denver, CO area since he had absconded 1 ½ years ago. Federal charges under the Adam Walsh act for fail to register as a sex offender are pending from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Colorado.

Albuquerque Man Sentenced to More than Eight Years in Prison for Federal Firearms Conviction

United States Attorney Kenneth J. Gonzales announced that, yesterday afternoon in federal court in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Guillermo Medel, also known as “Moreno,” a 29–year–old Albuquerque resident, was sentenced to a 100–month term of imprisonment to be followed by a three–year term of supervised release based on his conviction for being a felon in possession of firearms.

A U.S. appeals court has ruled in favor of 26 states that filed suit to challenge a requirement in President Barack Obama's healthcare law that forced individuals to own health insurance. The law's "individual mandate" portion was declared unconstitutional, according to Reuters.
