IMF Staff Concludes Visit to Kosovo with Agreement on Second and Third Review of the SBA Program

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, led by Jacques Miniane, visited Pristina during November 9-18, 2016, to hold discussions on the second and third reviews under Kosovo’s Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) with the IMF. At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Miniane issued the following statement.

IMF Executive Board Approves US$41.6 Million Disbursement under the Rapid Credit Facility for Haiti

Stiglitz told Parliament's inquiry committee investigating the Panama papers on 16 November. Bhutan Agency Approved for Alternative Procurement Arrangements by the World Bank

Bhutan’s Thimphu Thromde is the first borrowing country agency in the world to have its procurement system and regulations cleared as an alternative for use in World Bank-financed projects.

This is the first alternative arrangement under the World Bank’s new procurement framework, which went into effect July 1. What this means is that the agency’s own procurement arrangements are approved for use in Bank projects and can be used when deemed the best approach to deliver effective results – as an alternative to World Bank processes and regulations.
