In response the announcement that the Department of Justice has closed, without charges, investigations of CIA interrogations of two detainees who died in U.S. custody oversees, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) issued a statement

UNHCR and partners have organized activities for Syrian refugee children in the Bekaa Valley.

Syrian refugees, most from Abu-Kamal, Syria, take shelter in one of 17 schools located in al-Qaim. The Iraqi government has been confining them there since late July.
