On July 1, 2025, the streets of East York will come alive with joy and unity during the 59th Canada Day Parade and Festival—one of the Greater Toronto Area’s most anticipated cultural celebrations. Among the vibrant mix of floats, marching bands, and performers, Tai Ji Men will make its exciting debut, adding a mesmerizing blend of ancient Eastern wisdom and modern vitality to the festivities.

A striking 70-member team, ranging in age from 7 to 79, will present a dynamic series of performances, including the elegant Peacock Dance, the mythical Phoenix Dance, joyful Drum Formations, Taiwanese Opera, and the electrifying Energy Boys & Girls in vivid orange jackets. With roots in qigong and martial arts, their movements radiate harmony, power, and precision—symbolizing hope, conscience, and peace in a fast-changing world.

What makes this group especially unique is its diverse and accomplished members: a KPMG accountant, a retired bank CEO, a dentist, a Columbia University grad, and more. Their shared qigong practice fosters resilience and inner strength—stories the media will want to tell.

From the spiritual symbolism of peacocks and phoenixes to the youthful energy of double-stick martial arts performers, Tai Ji Men offers not only a visual spectacle but also a compelling message: healing begins within, and peace is possible when conscience leads the way.
