British Duchess Kate Admits to Having Cancer
Catherine, Princess of Wales, who has not made a public appearance for nearly three months following abdominal surgery, recently announced through a pre-recorded video that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing early treatment. She hopes that the public will give her time, space, and privacy.
King Charles III of the United Kingdom, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle have all issued statements expressing their concern. Shortly after Kensington Palace released the video of Catherine announcing her cancer diagnosis on social media, 75-year-old Charles III immediately stated that he is proud of Catherine's courage in admitting her cancer diagnosis.
The UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the White House in the United States have successively sent warm wishes; British newspapers directly quoted Catherine's statement on the front page today, praising her courage.
In the video recorded in Windsor on the 20th of this month, Catherine emphasized that she is now "well and getting stronger every day".
