Facebook chat: your chance to discuss the big EU issues with Manfred Weber
The EU is being challenged by a wide range of issues including the economic crisis, unemployment, immigration, globalisation, and various kinds of security concerns. In such tough times what does the future hold for the Union? This coming Tuesday 3 February you can discuss it on Facebook with Manfred Weber, the chair of the largest group in Parliament, the European People’s Party.
More often than not it is MEPs asking the questions. Next Tuesday 3 February the ball is in your court however. From 15.30 CET Manfred Weber, chair of the EPP group, will be chatting with Parliament's Facebook fans. You will have 45 minutes to ask your questions in what will be the first in a series of chats with the leaders of the various political groups.
Too many people seem to have lost their faith in the ability of politics and politicians to deliver solutions. How can the tide be turned? Weber believes confidence in politics can be restored by focusing on key topics such as the economic recovery, jobs, security and foreign policy.
