7 Killed in Indian Village Attack
Officials in India say militants have attacked villagers in northeast India, killing seven people and wounding at least nine others.
Authorities say the attackers opened fire on the villagers who were celebrating the Hindu holiday of Diwali in the Golapara district of Assam state on Sunday night.
Police say they suspect members of a rebel group, the Garo National Liberation Army, are responsible for the assault.
