Chlesea has best strike force in Europe: Ancelotti
Hailing his strike force, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that he thought he now had control of the best forwards in Europe after their comfortable victory against Danish champions FC Copenhagen.
Chelsea advanced to the quarterfinals of Champions League after Nicolas Anelka's dual strike against the Danes.
"Yes I think so," Ancelotti acknowledged about the quality of his forwards after starting the match with Fernando Torres and Nicolas Anelka and then bringing on Didier Drogba.
"I have an opportunity to choose the players. We want to maintain their fitness, but rotation could do them good with the Premier League and the Champions League. They are accepting my decisions without problems, and this is important. To have them available at the moment, it's important at this time of year," he said
Drogba was omitted from the starting line-up last night, but Ancelotti insisted that there were no problems with the Ivorian, The Telegraph reports.
"It was good, without problem, and he focused with the other players on the game," he said.
Chelsea's next game is in the Premier League at home against Manchester United.
