Apple’s fall product launch event, “Awe Dropping,” took place on September 9 (U.S. time) / September 10 (Taiwan time), once again drawing global attention. The event introduced several new products, including the debut of the iPhone Air, the fully upgraded iPhone 17 series, as well as the AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Series 11. Each product highlighted Apple’s latest breakthroughs in mobile devices, audio-visual experiences, and health applications.

The iPhone Air is just 5.6 mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone ever. Its body combines titanium with a ceramic shield for both lightness and durability. It features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with 120Hz ProMotion and up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The camera system includes a 48MP main camera and an 18MP Center Stage front camera, which automatically adjusts framing and supports 4K HDR. At its core is the A19 Pro chip, along with the N1 and C1X wireless systems, delivering faster performance, quicker connections, and better energy efficiency.

The iPhone 17 series also delivers major upgrades. The standard model adopts a curved frame with narrower bezels, outdoor brightness reaching 3,000 nits, and a Ceramic Shield that triples scratch resistance. The front-facing camera introduces a square sensor for wider framing, resulting in more natural selfies and video calls. The 48MP camera system is enhanced with new imaging algorithms for clearer detail. Powered by Apple’s latest chip, performance in gaming, AI applications, and daily tasks is significantly improved, with extended battery life.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, designed for professional creators and advanced users, feature aerospace-grade aluminum and a ceramic back, paired with a vapor chamber cooling system to ensure stable performance during prolonged use. The Pro and Pro Max come with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR displays, respectively, supporting higher brightness and updated display technology. Their triple 48MP camera system delivers up to 8x optical zoom, along with new professional video features such as ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2, providing creators with greater flexibility.

Beyond smartphones, the AirPods Pro 3 have been fully revamped. Equipped with a new acoustic structure and algorithms, they deliver more refined audio quality and double the noise-cancellation effect compared to the previous generation. Battery life reaches up to eight hours. Their smaller design, paired with foam ear tips, ensures a secure fit. Built-in heart rate monitoring tracks more than 50 types of workouts and syncs with fitness data. A standout feature is real-time translation, enabling cross-language communication with live subtitles displayed on the iPhone.

For wearables, both the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Series 11 received upgrades in health features and connectivity. The Ultra 3 comes with a larger wide-angle display and supports two-way satellite communication, allowing emergency messages to be sent even without cellular service. Its battery lasts up to 72 hours, and it adds a new high blood pressure alert. The Series 11 introduces 5G connectivity and a more durable glass design, with 24-hour battery life. It also includes hypertension detection and AI-assisted health tracking to help users stay ahead of potential issues.

Overall, Apple’s fall lineup centers on thin and lightweight design, enhanced performance, and advanced health applications. From the ultra-slim iPhone Air, to the pro-level imaging of the iPhone 17 Pro, to the smart audio of AirPods Pro 3 and the medical-grade features of Apple Watch, Apple once again demonstrates its pursuit of innovation and seamless integration into daily life.
