Microsoft held the Microsoft Build 2024 Developer Conference from May 22 to 24, Taiwan time. The conference theme, "How AI Shapes the Future," focused on the ongoing innovation and development of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. It is reported that nearly 200,000 people registered for the three-day Microsoft Build 2024 Developer Conference, which included technical learning and networking activities, with 4,000 attending in person in Seattle. Participants could choose from a variety of activities, including over 300 sessions and product demonstrations by Microsoft and its partners, as well as expert-led labs and workshops. Over the past year, Microsoft introduced the AI assistant, Microsoft Copilot, releasing more than 150 updates and integrating Microsoft's accumulated experience to develop the Copilot Stack, enabling developers to build their own custom Copilots. Over the past two years, GitHub Copilot, the most widely adopted AI developer tool, has reached 1.8 million paid subscribers.

Recently, Microsoft introduced a new feature, Team Copilot, expanding Copilot for Microsoft 365 from a behind-the-scenes AI personal assistant to a new member within enterprise organizations. Users can now call upon Copilot within collaboration platforms such as Teams, Loop, Planner, and more. Additionally, during meetings, Team Copilot can act as a host, managing agenda execution, tracking time, and even taking meeting notes.

To provide developers with differentiated AI experiences at the edge, Microsoft launched a new type of Windows PC—Copilot+ PC, the fastest and most AI-supportive PC ever. At the conference, Microsoft announced further advancements in AI, including Microsoft Fabric, which helps developers and enterprises create intelligent applications by leveraging digital information from data in transit. This makes Windows the most open AI platform and the best environment for developers.
