LA bash victim Rodney King dead
A figure of US police brutality has been found dead at his home.
Rodney King, who was beaten while in police custody in 1991, was found dead by his fiancee on Sunday at the bottom of a swimming pool.
Los Angeles police have said there was no sign of foul play in Mr King's death.
Rodney King became a victim of police brutality after having been arrested for speeding.
A subsequent beating at the hands of the police left him with permanent brain damage.
The incident, filmed by a bystander, horrified many people across the world.
Nevertheless, police charged with the brutal beating were later acquitted in a Los Angeles court.
Four LA police officers used Tasers, hit him more than 50 times with their batons and kicked him.
The court verdict triggered riots which left more than 50 people dead, thousands injured an property destroyed.
A later trial resulted in two of the four officers being jailed.
Rodney King had recently become engaged and was due to be married soon to a woman who had been a juror in his civil case against police.
