OECD annual inflation stable at 2.3% in April 2018
Annual inflation in the OECD area was stable at 2.3% in April 2018[1]but with diverging movements in core components. Energy price inflation accelerated to 6.1% in the year to April, compared with 5.3% in the year to March, while food price inflation slowed to 1.6%, compared with 1.7% in March. Excluding food and energy, OECD annual inflation was 1.9% in April 2018, compared with 2.0% in March.
