OECD annual inflation nudges up to 2.0% in July 2017
Annual inflation in the OECD area picked up to 2.0% in July 2017, compared with 1.9% in June 2017. This slight increase was mainly driven by energy prices which rose by 3.7% in the year to July compared with 3.0% in June. Food price inflation also increased marginally, to 1.7% in July, compared with 1.6% in June. Excluding food and energy, inflation was stable at 1.8% for the third consecutive month.
