Private consumption, main driver of OECD GDP growth in the first quarter of 2015
Real GDP growth in the OECD slowed slightly to 0.4% in the first quarter of 2015, down from 0.5% in the previous quarter. Private consumption was again the main driver of overall GDP growth with a contribution of 0.3 percentage point. Government consumption, investment and stockbuilding each contributed a further0.1 percentage point. On the other hand, net exports reduced GDP growth by 0.3 percentage point.
