Anger mounting as Wikileaks names world figures

There has been a slow anger building in countries where secrets have been revealed on the Wikileaks Web site.

US House votes to keep tax cuts for middle class

The US House of Representatives has decided to extend tax cuts for middle class Americans.

The House passed the bill that keeps tax rates low for Americans making less than $200,000.

Wealthier Americans will be cut out of the rate reduction.

The Democratic-led bill is expected to fail in the Senate where Republicans favour low rates for all taxpayers, even if it means adding billions of dollars to US budget deficits.

Rates favouring wealthier taxpayers were enacted by President George W Bush and Republican members in 2001 and 2003.

South Korea says air strikes will follow any further attacks

Kim Kwan-Jin, speaking in the South Korean parliament, said the military would strike back to punish the attacker.

Kim said the South Korean government would definitely use the air force.

North Korea fired dozens of artillery shells onto Yeonpyeong island in South Korea on November 23rd, killing two people.

While the South exchanged fire, it did not use its considerable air power against its neighbour.
