EU countries still slow to act on economic reform recommendations, says European Parliament study
On Friday the European Council will adopt the 2014 country-specific recommendations for each EU member state. MEPs regularly point out that the member state governments have been slow to act on these recommendations. This view is corroborated by a new European Parliament study showing that on average, only 18% of the 2011 and 2012 recommendations have been fully implemented.
