WFP Executive Director Visits Algeria, Including Camp for Western Sahara Refugees
The Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), David Beasley, has concluded a two-day trip to Algeria. In Tindouf, southwestern Algeria, Beasley visited two of the five camps for refugees from Western Sahara, talking to refugees and examining WFP’s hydroponics project that helping refugee families grow animal fodder. Beasley also had discussions with senior government officials and WFP partners.
