UN agencies welcome first relocation of unaccompanied children from Greece
IOM, the International Organization for Migration, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and UNICEF, the UN Children’s Fund welcomed the relocation of 12 unaccompanied asylum-seeking children from Greece to Luxembourg on April 15, 2020. The children, who had been living in overcrowded reception and identification centers for several months on the islands of Lesvos, Samos and Chios, arrived safely in Luxembourg this afternoon. Germany is in the process of relocating another group of unaccompanied children from Greece, who are due to arrive this weekend.

COVID-19: UNICEF Spain contributes 418,000 protective masks to combat pandemic
UNICEF Spain has donated 418,000 face masks to the Government of Spain in support of the national response on COVID-19. The masks are in addition to the medical supplies that UNICEF Spain donated over the past few weeks, which included 1,050,000 gloves, 100,000 virus detection kits, 1,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) and 97,000 units of hand sanitizer.
